Jura is located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France, close to Burgundy in the west, bordering Switzerland in the east and lying to the Alps in the northeast.
Jura has an impressive arc of undulating limestone hills, lined with valleys and gorges where the medieval towns, stunning waterfalls and vineyards are found.
It is also an obscure wine region in France while the attention from the international community has always been on Burgundy, Bordeaux or Champagne.
Jura produces its own unique wines with signature grapes of the region, including Vin de Paille (Straw Wine) and Vin Jaune (Yellow Wine).
