Notes: Grass, Prune
When you think of Rosemary, you would immediately think of preparing food such as lamb steaks and chicken legs. In fact, rosemary is a perennial herb that could flower. Through pollination, the bees produce a unique very sweet and refreshing honey of rosemary.
With its creamy texture and a light crystallized grain in the mouth, it is distinguished by a very light color and a harmonious taste.
Improving digestion
In Europe, rosemary is often used to help treat indigestion. In fact, Germany’s Commission E has approved rosemary for the treatment of indigestion.
It should be mentioned that it is not essential to consume rosemary honey alone to take advantage of its beneficial properties for digestion, but it can be used as a sweetener to sweeten any digestive infusion .
The honey may stimulate sleep. Enjoy it with a cup of hot milk before sleep!
Hédène rosemary honey is harvested in Languedoc in the Narbonne natural reserve.
Languedoc borders Provence in the northeast, Marseille in the east, and Spain in the southwest. Unlike its famous neighbor-Provence, Languedoc is a coastal flatland facing the Mediterranean Sea. The plain was previously swampy until it was drained and then tourism started to bloom since the 1960s. Today, Languedoc is famous for its long coastline, beaches, two large inland lakes, coastal villages and Roman architectures.
The fertile coastal plain favours agriculture and vineyards. Languedoc is one of the world’s largest wine-producing regions. It used to produce table wine but now quantity is now giving way to quality with its own appellation, which makes some areas in Languedoc even competitive with Bordeaux and Burgundy.
